How Does The Technology Work?

The ResurFX technology works by heating the deepest layers of your skin through tiny dots on the surface, which stimulates collagen production. This process does not harm the surrounding tissue, so there is minimal downtime. As new collagen grows, it reduces the appearance of many surface imperfections and restores youthful-looking skin.

What to Expect During the Procedure

Your ResurFX treatment will be done in our medical spa. To ensure your comfort, we will apply a topical numbing cream before the procedure begins. As the laser moves over your skin, you may feel a warm or prickly sensation – but you shouldn’t experience any pain. A typical treatment should last approximately 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

Immediately after your appointment, you will be free to return home. You may notice some redness or swelling, but these effects typically dissipate within a few days. Most of our clients are comfortable returning to work the very next day. However, it’s important to stay out of the sun and wear SPF as your skin will be more sensitive than usual.

The Results

ResurFX is designed to improve your skin texture, tone and appearance by encouraging your body to produce fresh collagen. Results may be noticed after your first treatment, however optimal results are typically achieved with a series of 3-6 treatments scheduled 3-6 weeks apart. The results will continue to improve over a period of approximately six months as your body completes the collagen regeneration process. This treatment may be done on non-facial skin.
