Patient is a 50-year-old female who has long standing dissatisfaction with her nose, with avoidance of either having her photo taken or looking at her own photographs for this reason. Specifically she does not like the prominent dorsal hump and the fact that her nose starts so high on her face. She is bothered by the evident deviation of her nose, and hates her flared nostrils. She dreams of a more elegant, straight nose that looks attractive and more appropriately complements her facial features.
Rhinoplasty with septoplasty, lowering of the nasal dorsum and radix, with contouring of the nasal cartilages and narrowing and straightening of the nasal bones. Patient also had cartilageonous grafts placed along the nostrils to lower them to make her nose appear less flared. She also underwent simultaneous facial rejuvenation.
