Patient is a 21-year-old female who had long dreamed of a more elegant and attractive nose. She desired a nose that appears smaller, perkier, and more feminine, helping her feel prettier.
Rhinoplasty Septoplasty with straightening of the nasal septum and reduction of dorsal hump. The nose was made smaller and less projecting and supported with cartilage grafts. Her nasal tip cartilages were recontoured utilizing both suture and reduction techniques, and nostrils were proportionately reduced to match the new nasal framework. A fascial graft was placed at the top of the nose to soften the nasal takeoff from the forehead, providing an “optical illusion” that makes the nose appear shorter and perkier. She was ecstatic with her new nose.
