Patient is a 32-year-old female with a long-standing desire for a more elegant and feminine nose. She felt that she inherited her father’s nose, and that it did not match her other features for which she is quite pleased. She thought that her nose was too wide, and her nasal tip lacked definition giving her an unrefined appearance. She wanted a nose that would better accentuate and complement her facial features and make her feel more beautiful.
Rhinoplasty with reduction and narrowing of nasal bones, contouring of nasal tip with suture and cartilage grafting techniques, and placement of fascial graft at nasal radix (superior aspect of nose) to soften the forehead-nasal confluence. She is only 5 weeks after surgery and absolutely delighted with her results although still quite swollen. She can expect 15-20% reduction of nasal size with much improved nasal definition in the future.
