Patient is a 44-year-old female with a long-standing dissatisfaction of her nasal appearance, having been very self-conscious about having her photo taken. She realizes that her nose is a “family trait”, present in her father and one of her brothers. She disliked how overly-projecting her nose appears, and hates her bulbous split tip and hanging columella that always show up in photographs. She would like a nose that appears smaller, more feminine, and better complements her facial features without looking obviously altered.
Rhinoplasty with septoplasty, reduction of nasal dorsal profile and nasal tip projection, and alteration of nasal tip cartilages through excisional and suture techniques. She also underwent narrowing of her nasal bones to create appropriate dorsal aesthetic lines. She was absolutely ecstatic with her rhinoplasty result.
