Patient is a 16-year-old female who had a long desired for a smaller, more feminine nose. She had undergone a “liquid rhinoplasty” with fillers but was looking for a more long lasting result She felt that her nose was amorphous with lack of definition. She did not like the hump on her profile, nor did she like the fact that her nose went down when she smiled.
Rhinoplasty with Septoplasty with lowering of the nasal dorsum, narrowing and contouring of nasal bones, and reduction of nasal tip projection. Her nasal septum was the donor for cartilage grafts that were utilized to stabilize and rotate the nasal tip and allow the nose to be made predictably smaller with planned skin contraction. Along with these changes, her nostrils were both rotated and reduced to accommodate the new nasal shape. The post-operative photographs are approximately 4 months after surgery, and considerable nasal definition and angularity will progress over time. She is delighted with her results and much more confident in her appearance.
