Patient is a 24-year-old female who has long desired to improve the appearance of her nose. Specifically, she did not like the nasal bump on her profile and the downturned nasal tip that lacked definition especially when she smiled. She had always dreamed of a “model’s nose” that fits her ethnicity and more complements her facial features.
Septorhinoplasty with reduction of nasal dorsal hump, narrowing of nasal bones, and contouring of nasal tip cartilages with placement of cartilagenous grafts to provide and maintain nasal tip projection. Communication is the key to a successful rhinoplasty result, and Dr. Shapiro images patient photographs and utilizes patient perceived attractive noses from magazine photographs to ultimately derive a combined aesthetic vision. The patient was absolutely over the moon with her rhinoplasty result.
