Patient is a 39-year-old female who had a previous rhinoplasty 10 years ago in Mexico that she has never been happy with. Specifically, she does not like profile that seems “scooped-out”, and her over-projecting nasal tip and flared asymmetric nostrils make her feel both unattractive and as though people can see inside her nostrils. She would like a more natural and feminine nose that better complements and enhances her facial features. She would also like to address the loss of volume beneath her eyes that makes her appear fatigued.
Procedure: Revision rhinoplasty with repair of deviated nasal septum, refinement and reduction of nasal tip through suture techniques, and placement of fascial and cartilage grafts to the nasal dorsum (to build up profile), and support nasal tip. Cartilage grafts were also placed to provide support to recontoured nostrils, imparting a more natural shape to the nose. Lastly, autogenous fat was transferred to the lower eyes and midface. Photographs are 7 months post-surgery, and she could not be happier with her results.
