Patient is a 30-year-old Latin-American female who has wanted for years a more attractive and feminine appearing nose. Specifically, she does not like her dorsal hump and down turned nasal tip that appears wide, ill-defined, and rather masculine. She wants a more defined and contoured tip that appears “perky” that better complements her facial features. Communication at the consultation and pre-operative appointments where computer images of proposed surgical plan were reviewed solidified our desired results.
Procedure: Septorhinoplasty with straightening of deviated nasal septum and bones, and reduction of nasal dorsal hump with narrowing of nasal bones. The patient’s nasal tip cartilages were refined through cartilage reduction and suture techniques, along with rotation of the nasal tip with internal cartilaginous support to maintain long-term shape. The photographs were taken approximately 6 months post-surgery, and she is extremely happy with her surgical results admitting that she feels much more beautiful and photogenic.
