Patient is a 37-year-old female who had undergone two previous rhinoplasties and was dissatisfied with the appearance of her nose. She does not like her over-projecting nasal tip and dorsal hump that appears unrefined, and her drooping nasal tip that turns down when she smiles. She feels that she has otherwise attractive features, but avoids having her photo taken as she focuses on her nose that she dislikes. She would like a smaller, more feminine and refined nose that enhances her facial features.
Procedure: Revision rhinoplasty with placement of both autogenous and cadaveric cartilage grafts. Her nasal dorsum was reduced and nasal tip lifted and contoured through suture and cartilage reduction techniques. Absolutely imperative were the placement of cartilage grafts to stabilize the cartilage and bone framework to provide a predictable outcome. Photographs were taken approximately 6 months post surgery, and she is delighted with her result. She feels beautiful for the first time in many years.
