Patient is an 18 year-old-female who had forever been bothered by her profile and the size of her nostrils. She tried to avoid photographs taken from her side, and was constantly filtering them when she saw them on her phone. She was not happy with the width of her nose and that it turned down when she smiled. She wanted a smaller and more feminine nose that appeared perky and pretty.

Rhinoplasty with reduction of nasal hump and narrowing of nasal bones, contouring of nasal tip with suture contouring techniques, and placement of cartilage grafts for structural support. Her nostrils were reduced to appear more proportioned, and her nasal tip was lifted to achieve her desired result. She was absolutely ecstatic with her surgical result.

Patient is a 19-year-old Hispanic woman who had long desired a more defined and elegant nose to complement her facial features. She did not like her bulbous and thick nasal tip, and wished she had a more tapered and feminine nasal contour that looked more like a model’s nose. She desired a perkier profile with less nostril prominence.

Rhinoplasty with contouring of nasal bones (reduction of nasal hump and thinning of nasal bones) with increased nasal tip angularity and projection through the use of internal cartilage grafts. She also had placement of a fascial graft to the radix (the top of the nasal bridge where it meets the forehead) to soften her profile and complement her increase the angularity of her nose. She was absolutely ecstatic with the result of her rhinoplasty and is pictured here 6 months post-op.

Patient is a 20-year-old female who had difficulty breathing after a previously unsuccessful septoplasty that left her with a deviated nose and continued problems breathing. She disliked that her nose bent to the right, and wanted to reduce her dorsal hump and asymmetric and bulbous nasal tip. She is aware of her prominent bone structure, and hoped for her nose to appear more feminine, elegant and better proportioned to the rest of her facial features. She also very much wants to breathe better due to her deviation.

Rhinoplasty and septoplasty with reduction of the dorsal hump, straightening of the nasal bones, and contouring of the nasal tip through suture and cartilage modification techniques. She also had placement of cartilage grafts to recreate her dorsal aesthetic lines, and placement of a fascial graft to the radix to soften the transition between her forehead and nose. She breathes effortlessly and is absolutely ecstatic with her aesthetic result.

Patient is a 33-year-old female with a desire to make her nose appear more elegant and attractive. She felt that her nose appeared too long with a bulbous and irregular nasal tip, and long flared nostrils. When she smiled her nose would widen and displace inferiorly. She wanted her nose to look softer and better complement her nasal features.

Rhinoplasty with Septoplasty and reduction of dorsum and contouring of nasal tip cartilages. The entire nasal complex was brought in closer to her face and her nostrils were reduced. Finally, a fascial graft was placed at the top of the nose to soften the transition from her forehead to nose. She was extremely pleased with her result.

Patient is a 22-year-old female who has hated her nose since she can remember. She avoids having her picture taken as she dislikes her profile due to her prominent dorsal hump, and feels that her nose looks crooked and unattractive. She desires a more elegant and feminine nose that both complements and enhances the rest of her facial features.

Rhinoplasty with take down of dorsal hump, straightening of nasal septum, narrowing of the nasal bones, and refinement of the nasal tip through contouring and suturing of the nasal tip cartilages.

Patient is a 27-year-old female who travelled from Wisconsin for her rhinoplasty after an initial Zoom consultation.  She feels that she has a very masculine appearing nose, and would like a more refined and delicate result.  She is of German and Eastern European dissent, and feels that her nose favors her father’s.  She does not like her prominent nasal bridge, and would like a nose that has less projection and looks more feminine and “perky”.  She has desired having a rhinoplasty for years, and has done much internet research before coming to Scottsdale for her surgery.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with softening of her radix ( takeoff of the nose at the forehead), reduction of nasal dorsum hump, and nasal tip contouring through cartilage reduction and suture techniques.  Attention was given to recreation of her dorsal aesthetic lines to create a more flowing and feminine appearing nose that complements the rotation of her nasal tip, meeting her expectations for a “perky nose”.  Interestingly, as discussed at her pre-operative appointment where computer imaging was reviewed, the patient’s inherent features were greatly enhanced with increased definition of her eyes, cheekbones, and lips as a result of her more balanced facial proportions.  Photographs were taken approximately 7 days after surgery, with considerable swelling apparent.  She can expect significant reduction of nasal size and increase definition of nasal features over the next year.  She was very happy with her result. 

Patient is a 19-year-old Hispanic female who desires a more elegant and feminine nose.  She feels that she has her father’s nose and that it does not complement her facial features well.  She dislikes the bump on her dorsum, along with her nasal tip that seems bulbous, lacks definition, and goes down when she smiles.  She would like a smaller, more defined nose that appears more refined.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with straightening of her nasal septum and nasal bones, reduction of dorsal hump, and softening of nasal tip through cartilage reduction and suture techniques.  Nasal support was imparted with placement of internal cartilage grafts to create angularity of her nasal tip, and a fascial graft was placed at the top of her nose to create a more feminine profile that complements her structural changes.  This patient presented with the classical components of a Hispanic nose that most often has a dorsal hump, a nasal tip that lacks  definition and support, often plunging when smiling. She was ecstatic with her result and stated that she felt beautiful for the first time in her life.  Photos were taken before surgery and approximately 3 months post-surgery.  Further definition and refinement can be expected over the next year.

Patient is a 15-year-old female who has since she remembers desired a different appearing nose.  She does not like the prominent hump on her nasal profile, nor does she like her broad nasal tip that lacks definition and angularity that plunges when she smiles.  Multiple discussions with the patient and her mother resulted in a surgical plan that would enhance her nasal appearance while providing a natural result that maintained her ethnicity, which was very important to the entire family.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with reduction of nasal dorsal hump, contouring of nasal tip through cartilage reduction and suture techniques, and nostril reshaping to complement her new nose.  Internal cartilage grafts were placed to ensure long-term patency of her rhinoplasty and to provide a substrate for soft-tissue contraction which aids in the production of desired angularity and shadows that produce a beautiful result.  Photos are 3 months post-surgery, and further size reduction and definition can be anticipated over the next year.  She loves her new nose.

Patient is a 19-year-old college student who has long desired a less-projecting and feminine appearing nose.  She has become increasingly self-conscious about having photographs taken as she dwells upon the bump and wide nasal tip that goes down when she smiles.  She has dreamt of a more delicate nose that better complements and enhances her facial features.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with reduction of nasal dorsal bump, narrowing of the nasal bones and reduction of overly projecting and hanging nasal tip.  The tip cartilages were reduced through excisional and suture techniques, nostril size was reduced, and significant internal cartilaginous graft support was placed to maintain long-term aesthetic results.  Photographs are 2 years post rhinoplasty, and she has stated that her rhinoplasty was a life-altering event, significantly boosting her self-esteem and enjoyment of the social aspects of life.

Patient is a 41 year-old female who has forever been extremely self-conscious about her large nose.  She avoids having her photo taken, and does not like people to dwell on either side of her as she dislikes her large dorsal hump and over-projecting nasal tip.  She feels that her nose looks masculine and unrefined, and desires a softer and more feminine nose that better complements her facial features.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with reduction of dorsal hump, narrowing of nasal bones and nasal cartilages to create pleasant dorsal aesthetic lnes, and contouring of nasal tip through cartilage reduction and suture techniques.  The over-projecting nasal tip was shortened and long-term stability was ensured with the placement of internal cartilage grafts.  Photos are 3 months post-surgery, and the patient is delighted as this was a life-altering event.

Patient is a 36 year-old Hispanic female who had a previous rhinoplasty approximately 13 years ago for which she was never happy with her result.  She has seen widening of her nasal bones and a deviation of her nasal tip, and has trouble breathing.  Initially she desired a smaller, straighter, and “perkier” nasal tip. She has always dreamed of having a “model’s” nose.

Procedure:  Revision Septorhinoplasty with reduction of dorsal hump and straightening of both nasal bones and nasal septum.  The nasal tip was contoured using cartilage suture techniques, and shortened and rotated to give the desired effect.  Internal cartilage grafts were used to increase nasal tip projection and maintain functional and aesthetic integrity.  Photos are 1.5 years after surgery.  She is thrilled with her result with a significant boost to her self-confidence.

Patient is a 19-year old female who suffered a nasal injury as a cheerleader in high school, resulting in a depression along the left nasal bones, with accompanying nasal breathing difficulties.  She desires a softer, straighter nose that appears without a dorsal hump, and more delicate and perkier nasal tip.  At her initial consultation I was impressed how underappreciated the patients otherwise beautiful facial features were seemingly overpowered by her masculine appearing nose.  I could predict a more balanced and proportioned face that would result after an appropriately performed rhinoplasty.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with dorsal bump reduction and lowering of nasal radix to make the nose appear as it started lower between the eyebrows giving a softer and shorter appearance to the nasal length.  The nasal bones were narrowed, with the left side being reinforced with a cartilage graft to open up and widen that particular airway.  The nasal tip was

narrowed and make less bulbous and simultaneously rotated superiorly with long term support supplied through separate cartilage grafts.  Her completed rhinoplasty provided much more balance to her facial features, enhancing her eyes, cheekbones, and lips. The patient was extremetly delighted with her new nose, and mentioned other people had difficulty telling her exactly what was performed to make her look so much attractive.

Patient is a 27-year-old female who has long desired a nose that looks prettier and better matches her facial features.  In photos she is self-conscious of the asymmetry of her nose and constantly uses filters to soften her bulbous tip and dorsal bump.  She would love a nose that makes her feel beautiful with less anxiety regarding social media.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with straightening of nasal septum and narrowing of nasal bones with reduction of dorsal hump.  The nasal tip was narrowed and rotated with cartilage reduction and suture techniques with production of a supra-tip break that makes the nose appear shorter and more feminine.  She is absolutely in love with the results!  Photographs were taken approximately 1 year post surgery

Patient is a 24-year-old female that desires a more elegant nose.  Specifically she is bothered by the bump on her nasal profile that makes her nose masculine and too long.  She would like to address the cartilage cleft between her nostrils that is crooked and hangs down in photos and makes her upper lip appear too short.  She would like a more refined appearing nose that better complements her facial features.  Simultaneously she would like to address the hollowness beneath her eyes and along her midface that appear as shadows in photographs, making her appear tired when she is not.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with straightening of deviated nasal septum, reduction of nasal hump and narrowing of nasal bones and dorsal cartilages to create appropriate dorsal aesthetic lines.  Her tip cartilages were contoured through suture techniques and an internal cartilage graft was placed to maintain long-term tip projection.  The left nostril was reduced after the caudal septum was straightened, giving a very natural and beautiful result.  She also had 5 cc of fat transferred to the lower eyes, 7cc fat transferred to the midface, both from abdominal donor site.  Photographs are 5 months post-surgery.  She was absolutely delighted with her results.
