Patient is a 61-year-old female who underwent previous facial plastic surgery that has resulted in disharmonious aging over time. She thinks she looks frumpy and unattractive. Specifically she feels that her eyes appear quite sad, and her mouth is in a constant frown making her appear angry and unapproachable. She had a previously placed chin implant that has given her a “witch’s chin” as she has aged. She would like a more natural appearing and proportioned face that makes her look younger and more attractive.
Facelift, lateral temporal brow elevation, bilateral lower blepharoplasty with canthopexy, exchange of chin implant with contemporary anatomical shape, and fat transfer to the upper and lower eyelids, nasolabial folds, jawline, lips, and chin. Notice the improved proportion of her jawline and chin with the addition of fat transfer and a better shaped chin implant. The patient has noted that she feels much younger and this has greatly impacted her self-esteem.
