Patient is a 20 year-old female who has poor self-image due to her appearance.  She has been very self-conscious regarding her prominent nose with a large dorsal hump and over-projecting nasal tip that overpowers her facial features.  This combined with her weak chin has made her avoid social situations and dislikes having her photo taken.  She would like to look prettier with more proportioned features that better highlight her face.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with reduction of nasal hump, narrowing of nasal bones with creation of dorsal aesthetic lines, and contouring of the nasal tip by reducing its projection and shaping through cartilage reduction and suture techniques.  A large extended anatomic chin implant was also placed, along with release of upper lip frenulum to allow better excursion of the lip when smiling.  Internal cartilage grafts were placed to ensure long-term stability of the rhinoplasty.  Photos are 6 months after surgery, and her result has been emancipating for her.  She has increased confidence, feels attractive, and is quite social.

Patient is a 41 year-old female who desires a more elegant and feminine appearing nose that better complements her facial features.  She feels that her nose looks rather masculine and does not like her dorsal bump, wide nasal tip and nostrils.  She would like a nose with a shorter profile and a more contoured and perky nasal tip.  She feels that her nose is too wide and would like to appear more attractive in photographs with classic “dorsal aesthetic lines” as she sees in models and influencers.  She has also yearned for a stronger chin to complement her impressive cheekbones which she loves.

Procedure:  Septorhinoplasty with reduction of nasal hump, contouring of nasal tip through cartilage reduction and suture techniques, and adjustment of nostrils to provide symmetry and balance to her new nose.  Internal cartilage grafts were placed to allow skin to re-drape and create angularity which is critical in think-skinned patients.  Finally, a medium extended anatomic chin implant was placed to provide improved balance to her chin and jawline.

Photos are 5 weeks after surgery, and very significant improvement in the shape and size of her nose can be expected up to 1 year.  She loves her new look.

Patient is a 16-year-old female with a long-standing desire to have a more attractive nose and stronger, more balanced profile. She was self-conscious of her nose, and this combined with the weakness of her chin had made her shy. She wanted to have a prettier and feminine nose that better balanced and complemented her other features.

Rhinoplasty with Septoplasty with reduction of nasal bump and refinement of nasal tip utilizing reduction and suture techniques. A fascial graft was placed at her radix (area at top of nose beneath eyebrows) to soften the transition between her forehead and nose giving the illusion of actually shortening the entire nasal profile. She also underwent chin augmentation with placement of a medium extended anatomic implant. She is delighted with her surgical results, and the transformational improvement in her confidence and poise are absolutely astonishing.

She feels that her facial aging has mostly affected her jawline and chin, and has developed jowls that make her weak chin more obvious. Since menopause, she has developed progressive laxity of her neck, and feels that she is looking quite matronly. She would like to appear as young as she feels, without tell-tale signs of surgery.
