Breast Surgery Revision
Patient is a 46-year-old female who had textured silicone breast implants placed 20 years ago. She had, over the recent past, experienced discomfort and progressive superior displacement of her breast implants. She was a small C cup breast and desired to be a full C to small D cup with perkier and more symmetric nipples. She is 5’7” and weighs 115lbs.
Bilateral breast implant exchange with open capsulectomy, periareolar mastopexy and placement of 385 cc cohesive “gummy bear”, smooth, high profile breast implants. This type of breast implant was chosen to give increased projection to help lift the breast along with maintenance of superior pole fullness. She went from small C to small D cup breast and was delighted with the results of her surgery.
