Breast Surgery Revision
Patient is a 53-year-old female who underwent a previous breast augmentation approximately 20 years ago, and has noticed progressive malposition of the nipples, hardness of the breasts, and loss of natural breast contour. On exam she had significant breast capsular contractures with nipple/areolar ptosis and wanted softer, more symmetric, and natural appearing breasts. She likes her current large C to small D cup, and would like to maintain this size. She is 5’6” and weighs 130lbs.
Bilateral open capsulectomy, capsulorraphy, and placement of subpectoral cohesive high-profile smooth silicone gel implants 450cc on right, and 485cc on left. She also underwent bilateral periareolar mastopexy to reduce areolar diameter and raise nipple position to a more youthful position.
