What is FRACTORA™?
The FRACTORA™ treatment uses bipolar radiofrequency energy to resurface the skin and improve the overall tone and texture for a younger-looking appearance. This skin resurfacing treatment can be customized to fit each patient’s specific skin concerns and target specific conditions, including hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, facial redness, and some forms of scarring. The radiofrequency energy used in this skin rejuvenation treatment heats the deep layers of the skin and stimulates collagen production for an overall improvement in the tone and texture of the skin. Results of FRACTORA™ are comparable to fractional CO2 laser treatments with less downtime and reduced risk of adverse reactions.

How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed to achieve your best results varies from patient to patient depending on the severity of aging and the patient’s goals for treatment. Most patients are able to achieve optimal results with a series of one to six treatment sessions scheduled approximately four to six weeks apart. Some patients may require additional treatment sessions depending on desired results.
What can I expect after a treatment session?
You may experience some redness or tenderness, much like a mild sunburn, in the treated area following your FRACTORA™ treatment session. These side effects are temporary and typically subside on their own within one week of a treatment session. We recommend patients avoid direct sun exposure and use additional sun protection for the first few days after their treatment session, as the skin will have increased sensitivity to the sun.
